Rising vapor passes through risers into bubble cap which then forces vapor downward,  and the vapor later bubbles out through slots into liquid on the tray.

Vapor enters through openings in the tray panels and through valves，interacting with liquid on the tray.

Liquid distributors can be applied above each bed of packing in packed towers for being distributed uniformly.

The most widely used mist eliminator in industrial applications is the knitted-wire-mesh type. These mesh eliminators consist of a pad of knitted wire mesh packed between two rigid grids for support. Liquid droplets accumulate on the wires, while vapor flows upward through the mesh pad. Gravity causes the liquid to drain from the mesh.
