• type R - a 45° crimp can be applied for most distillation
• type S - a 60° crimp can be applied for high liquid rate , such as heat transfer beds
• type HC - fine dimple pattern embossed on the surface can be optimized for maximizing liquid spreading and wetting ability
Advantages :
When pressure and liquid load is low, structured packing can be applied to reduce pressure drop and energy consumption.
Distillation column
The column internals provide a contact place for mass transfer and heat transfer for the gas-liquid phase and liquid-liquid phase; There are two main types of column internals: packed column and trayed column. The packing column internals mainly include packing, liquid distributor, liquid collector, redistributor, gas distributor, packing fastening device, packing support device; trayed column internals mainly include: tray, liquid collection tank (trayed column), tray support device (trayed column), feed distributor, gas feed and distribution device and mist eliminator.
Packed column
Working principle: The liquid is sprayed onto the packing from the top of the tower through the liquid distributor and flows down the surface of the packing. The gas is fed from the bottom of the tower, and after being distributed by the gas distribution device, it continuously passes through the gap of the packing layer with the liquid in a countercurrent manner, and on the surface of the packing, the gas-liquid two phases are in close contact for mass transfer.
